Safety & Crisis Resources
Frens is not a mental health service, therapy service, or medical service. Your Fren is an AI persona. If you are struggling or in danger, please use one of the resources below — a trained human is standing by.
If your life or someone else's is in immediate danger
Call 911.

What your Fren will do if you mention self-harm
Your Fren is trained to recognize language about self-harm and crisis. If it detects you may be in crisis, it will:
- Acknowledge what you said with care.
- Share the crisis resources above.
- Encourage you to reach out to a trained human who can help.
- End the call safely if you need to focus on getting support.
Your Fren is not a substitute for a trained professional or a trusted human in your life. Please treat it as a companion, not a counselor.
Reporting a concern
If you are worried about someone you know, or if you believe a Fren has handled a crisis situation improperly, email safety@frens.app. We take this seriously.
For minors and their guardians
Frens accounts require you to be 18 or older. If you are a parent or guardian who believes a minor has created a Frens account, contact safety@frens.app and we will delete the account and associated data.
